I grew up in Pennsylvania thinking one day I would be a rabbi, a lawyer, or a weathergirl. But fate seemed to have other ideas. I graduated from Yale with a degree in English literature but along the way developed an obsessive, unexpected passion for metaphysics and yogic philosophy. For the past 25 years I’ve taught many ways to align with the inner Divine.
As an intuitive and astrologer, I’ve given too many readings to count over the past 30 years to folks all over the world. Maybe 30,000. No idea how it all happened as I never really advertised–just karma I guess. I love the utter diversity of my clientele, from the most iconoclastic to the most traditional people.
I’m currently on hiatus from readings while I focus on my writing and teaching Divine Order.
A Capricorn Sun with a ton of Sag and Aquarius seems to make me a good bridge between the pragmatic and the spiritual. Since 2009, I’ve been the San Francisco Spiritual Examiner at examiner.com. As a writer, I’ve got little patience for spiritual jargon and really relish finding fresh, funny ways to express the Divine mystery that embraces us all.
Many of the columns from the Examiner have been adapted to become the recently-released book Outrageous Openness: Letting the Divine Take the Lead.
Every season new rounds of seminars and telephone classes begin that emphasize trusting one’s own Divine intuition. I’m committed to helping people claim their inner power and authenticity to be freed from reliance upon external authority.
With a little determined focus, the answers are always within.
I particularly enjoy rebels, free-thinkers, the disenfranchised, and anyone who has ever felt alienated, different, or alone. I love helping anyone who believes they need to change ANYTHING about who they are in order to earn God’s love.
The Universe is a Divine party.
Come as You are.
